WHO IS SHE?

Lists keep me sane so here’s one about me. (We can call it “Aslist” hahaha – I laugh at my own awful puns.)

  • My name’s pronounced As-la. Calling me “Ash”, totally fine. “Ass”, please don’t.

  • I’m a Lead/Senior Creative who’s worked in many creative hubs from agencies to post-production studios for 10+ years.

  • I’m currently freelancing as a Lead Creative Writer for Philips. My most recent work was for Netflix and Windows with BUCK Amsterdam. I’ve also had the privilege to partner up with brands like Google, Unilever, GitHub, PepsiCo, Uber, Diageo, Spotify, Jaguar and Booking.com.

  • I’ve worked, lived, laughed and laughed some more in New York, Miami, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, London, Istanbul and now Amsterdam.

  • I grew up half in the States and half in Turkey so I’m fluent in English and Turkish. I can speak to toddlers in Dutch, order a drink in Spanish and count to 20 in German.

  • I have a 17-year-old cat, Mocha, who’s lived in 17+ places with me. (He passed away 12.12.22 but I can’t bring myself to erase this sentence.) I now have 2 other cats, Lupita and Sebastian. I strongly believe Mocha sent them my way and no one can convince me otherwise.

  • I like cheese, wine and dad jokes the most. I can’t help myself and say “Ahh this takes me back” when I put my car in reverse.

  • I sing and dance way too much for a person who can’t sing nor dance.

  • I only judge people who judge people – and occasionally some creative work.
